Further investigations of the chain of properties acquired through stolen billions of Nigeria’s tax payers money by 41 year old outgoing Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bank-ole has revealed that the embattled lawmaker is not limiting his property acquisition mania to major cities of USA or South Africa, but of late has tried to buy up choice areas of Abeokuta, his state capital.

Apart from demolishing the shambles left of his father’s house in the city of Abeokuta to erect seven duplexes, Bankole equally extended his acquisition spree to the Onikolobo area of the city where he built two mansions within a space of one month and ahead of the last general elections when he lost his bid to return to the House of Reps.

His latest acquisitions in Abeokuta came on the heels of the controversial purchase of the tallest building in Nigeria for a whooping N4 billion. The 32-storey NITEL building is located on Marina street, Lagos. The building was set on fire by arsonists in 1983.Also called NECOM House, it is the tallest building in Nigeria and upon completion, was the tallest concrete building in West Africa .
