BOB MARLEY-- ONE LOVE

As black conscious as BOB MARLEY was.....in view of the lyrical contents of many of his tracks, he had more than enough wisdom and over-standing to comprehend the power of LOVE over HATE. So to those who promote hatred in the name of black consciousness, please learn a thing or two from one of the GREATEST ever....ROBERT NESTA MARLEY

  5. Monday Midnite ‎@Mairo...You're right sister, that line is absolutely thought provoking. And if one dives at it in-dept with clear and unbiased inquisitiveness, one would be compelled to confront the man/woman in the mirror and honestly inquire if he or she is unknowingly gravitating into the realm of the "hopeless sinner" by propagating hatred.

  6. Papa Koz--Everyone is crying out for peace but no one is crying out for justice...Peter Tosh.

  7. Monday Midnite--Papa Koz...My brother, first and foremost, that brand of justice evokes the cruel principle of "an eye for an eye," and we all know the end result of that.

Secondly, and I'm not denying the enormity of the external factor responsible for the African problems, but it is my sincere belief that with the right collective mental fortification of the African mind, no one can infiltrate, let alone dominate our domain in today's world. In other words, we cannot keep the problems without at bay until we deal an effective blow to the problems within. But I think we are losing focus and simply throwing punches in the air as we continue to exert our already scanty intellectual energy on the external factor while those vested with the responsibility to secure our sovereignty and protect our interests are consistently selling our ailing continent out to the highest bidders even as we blog. We can't get to number 2 without getting past number 1 brother. Right now, we need to focus on number 1. But we cannot go about it with HATRED in our hearts. It will clog our minds and hinder the positive thought process we need to achieve our goals. Cheers.

  9. Papa Koz--Well said brother, but at this stage we need a divine involvement,a big bang if you like,I have pondered on solutions and I agree with what you observed but my worry is that we are too far behind, something has to give because to deconstruct this age long entanglement like you said needs some mental fortification of our minds but even the pricess to that is hindered by our daily struggle of food on the table, and I have seen overtime that these barriers weren't just put there for us but for generations to come,it might take a few to point it out but its never accompanied by the resources to achieve it,so what do we then do??? Love is the answer no doubt but that's only when you are dealing with humans, these imperialist lot are demons and they are on a separate agenda to see to our long term destruction by covert means and it is going on nicely, our women are now breeding autistic children at an alarming rate and our men are either locked away or killed,so putting it in perspective.all we have done is talk about it,we haven't attempted to address these things we violence,we have as truly civilized people tried to point it out to them but they are impression of us is still that of sub humans,so that's the trouble that we face..

  10. Monday Midnite--Papa Koz.....It's not impossible bro. And giving the fact that Africans are characteristically the most adaptive of all, it's not even going to be too much of a mountain to climb, but it's going take the right leadership if it's to happen fast enough, and everyone, or at least, a large majority of us, must rally round such a leader when he or she comes into power and safeguard the administration from western government's fables and trickeries . Remember that in the late 50's and early 60's when most African nations got the so called "independence," countries like China, Singapore, Malaysia, etc, weren't far ahead of us at all. In the days of Ogbemudia in the defunct Midwest State for instance, the State had infrastructures, educational system, health care facilities, governmental structure, and what have you, that were at par with most countries in the west, and were most certainly better than what Eastern European nations could boast of under communism. But today, all these nations are way ahead of us, and one of them is about to take over the mantle of the top nation in the world.

I'm not trying to excuse the prevailing imperialist agenda of western governments which has taken a new name and face in neo-colonialism masked as New World Order through the modus operandi of their various multi-national corporations operating in Africa, but we must sincerely ask ourselves these questions:

Did western governments FORCED our leaders to consistently and authoritatively siphon more than 75% of our yearly budgets into their private Swiss accounts for decades unabatedly?

Did western governments FORCED our leaders not to realize the fact that when you've established a working model for any society, it is imperative to also establish and honor a maintenance culture to keep it afloat?

Did western governments FORCED our leaders to be extremely blind and ignorant of the indisputable fact that every government is a business entity in itself and each will do its utmost best to outdo, outwit, outshine, outlast, and be better than the others just like it is in business arenas and market places across the globe without exceptions?

So my brother, we really shouldn't waste precious time focusing solely on the external factor when there's so much cleaning up to do in our Augean Stables where the bulk of the dirts are stacked. Cheers bro.
